Who played guitar on "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" ?
was there a staple guitarist used for Ennio's music?

Pick up the somewhat recently released "For a Few Guitars More"
tribute to Ennio Morricone. There are some really great liner notes
by Moon Dawg in there, and the music is really well done. Great
tracks by The Penetrators, Dave Wronski, The Atlantics, The
Langhorns, Bradipos IV, Pollo del Mar, The Hellbenders, etc, etc.
I'm not sure where you can buy this now, I got mine from the (now
defunct) Pop Mart. But check this out anyway (I think it answers
your question about who played the guitar):
