Thanks for the link, I too have been looking for a
suitable fuzz pedal for a mild over-the-edge type
sound, and I like to support the little guy like
Verbatone, so I checked it out. There's several sound
clips on the web site, and they sound kinda, well...
just tell me that they don't do it justice and I'll
believe you. I'm hoping the recording techniques are
to blame and not the pedal.

The sound clips do not do it justice. Read the disclaimer info on the site.
He just jacked it into a sound board and played the samples. They were not
played through an amp so don't really use that as a reference. If you want
to hear one in action, try this link:
Towards the end of the song (around the 3:10 mark) a fuzz guitar comes in
and that's a Verbafuzz pedal. I think you'll get a better idea of the sound
that way.

Nice link, great song, amd a way better indication of what the fuzz
can sound like....
... still, all the soundclips give that sitarlike ZZZZZZZZZZ sound,
but I'm what I'm looking for should have a bit more RRRRRRRRRR-sound
(sorry for the description, you know what I mean), more like Dave
Allen on the Ventures tribute cd, less like the solo guitar on Janis
Joplins summertime version (I figured these were well known
refferences) . Also, I still want to be able to play chords as I
hardly ever stick to single notes. So can the Verba-Tone do this? are
all the clips with over the top-settings or is it just an over the
top fuzz? (over the top definitly NOT meant negative ... just not
what i'm looking for, i just already have an over the top fuzz....)

to add to that post, i did some searching, the fulltone site has
decent soundsamples. the sort of fuzz I'm looking for would be in
between the fulltone 69 fuzz and soulbender...
i'd appreciate it if anyone who has a verbatone would check those
soundsamples out and compare them to the verbatone,
thanks, wannes
