Thanks for the tip! I took my Strat over to the local
music store this morning, and they added a spring, and
put on .11 nickel strings. NOW I've got a surf machine! ;-)
Incidentally, the guy at the store independently confirmed
what you said--he said that I could put .11 on it, but it
would need another spring, so.... But anyhoo, I couldn't
wait to get that bad boy home and test it. An MAN, what a
difference it made!

p.s. In case I hadn't mentioned before, I bought a Digitech
Digiverb after Christmas, and I can't stop using it! The
spring effect on it is fantastic! IMHO, at least. ;-)
