Re: Ventures tribute band name?

This name has been taken for about the last 15 years. They're a long running
Ramones trib band. There's also a UK Ramones trib band with the same name
that have been around since '96.
The Venturas, The MelTones, The Diamond Heads & The Surf Riders are all
taken as well.
Somebody's already using Underground Fire and they have nothing to do with
the Ventures- they're some kind of gay cabaret act judging by were they
always seem to be playing. Personally, even though I'm quite knowledgeable
about The Ventures, a Ventures tribute band is not the first thing I would
think of when I saw that name.

Is there a band called the Yellow Jackets?
That would be cool, you could all wear yellow jackets on stage?

There is a pretty famous band called The Yellow Jackets who are in
the jazz world someplace.
Going with a sucking/stinging insect theme, how about the Wasps?

Just call the group Steve Hunter. It's an anagram of 'The Ventures.'
And with over 11,000 possibilities using the letters from 'nokie mel
bob don,' there should be something intriguing, like 'Nimble Book
Node.'
You could always just use part of one of the results, too. 'Neon Elk'
and 'Noodle Ken' popped up few times.

just picked 'live in japan '65' out of the cd rack to join in on the
somg title theme.... I'm thinking no 6 here...
"band member introduction" is a hell of a band name, with an
immidiate "ventures" twist to it (well, maybe if you write in in
Japanese....) almost as good as a dutch band that was called (the
dutch translation of) "show cancelled due to illness singer" ...
great posters.
actually, how about "Bing Conception" ....?

Dude, where you from. Your picture shows you partaking in what they
call in Spain "Carne de Nariz". I have found those mucopolysaccarides
help me hold onto the pick during intensive tremelo speed picking.
Not sure if the green build-up on my fingers is from my Everly pick
melting, or something more forensic.
The RamTwos
The Ramjuans
The Ram-Tones
The Ram-Moans
The Samones (S is one letter away from R)
- I'm riffin' again, back to work.
