I recently bought a Mosrite Ventures Model,took it to band
practice.The thing just plays like a dream for leads but myself and
the other guitar player in the band both play leads.I found it not
very versatile for rhythm parts.Does anyone else out there play a
Mosrite with any tips?
---My main guitar these days is a Mosrite Ventures model. Of course,
what would you expect in a Ventures tribute band? I love it for
leads also but not as well for rhythm, same as you. For rhythm I'd
rather have a janglier sound, but I'm not into switching guitars
every other song. I use Ernie Ball "skinny top, heavy bottom" mixed
gauge strings and play through a Fender Cyber Deluxe, or Hot Rod
Deluxe.
