Is it just me, or on the King of the Surf Guitar version
of "Riders in the Sky," is he playing the Lively Ones' "Goofy Foot"
from about 0:50 to 1:10?
As far as who exactly borrowed what, does anyone know when "Goofy
Foot" was released? I can't seem to find my copy of Hang Five,
which I assume would have some release info inside.
Regardless, it's certainly an interesting addition to the song ...
one that I seem to have missed on many listens.

The Lively Ones could've released Goofy Foot in 1920 and Dick would
probably say he did it first :-) Kidding aside, Goofy Foot came out
in early '63.
I never noticed that before! Wasn't there some controversy about The Lively
Ones "Surf Rider" being a remake of The Ventures "Spudnik"? And "Goofy Foot"
has some "Apache" like qualities to it as well.

The problem about that, if I remember correctly, was that when they
originally released "Surf Rider," they claimed writing/publishing
credit, and (rightfully) got sued.
