Hawaii Five 0 guitar tab

dan (kurtiam) - 21 Jan 2004 22:45:25

ok im gonna try to post it again and see how it turns out..
"Hawaii Five O" as played by the Ventures.
I figured this out for you since I couldn't find it anywhere. It's
not as simple as it sounds. First, they don't necessarily follow the
scales. (might be mistakes but they kept them.) Second, they change
the key after each chorus. And each chorus is different,
although it may seem similar. I kept having to slow it down more and
more and more till I got it. You keep wanting to listen to part of
a phrase then finish it "by ear" or by a familiar pattern, but that's
a big mistake, because, just when i think i got it then, i listen
more carefully again, and see I had it wrong. The little keyboard and
flute or whatever it is in the background is playing chords and notes
that also give a false impression of what's going on with the guitar,
too. Ugh! Anyway, here is what I got.
If anyone notices errors and wants to make corrections, that would be
cool, but I think this is pretty darn close to 100%.

This part might be easier at 12th fret position.
I think the little H part might be a mistake he did, but kept,
as it's not very noticeable.

(this part might be scrambled. I can play it, and tried to write it.
The two 9's next to each other might be just an error on his part,
as the 2nd one isnt very loud.)
when it lands on the 12th fret, it changes key again.
