I came across this luthier, loves instrumental surf music, who is
creating some really nice single-coil guitars and bass guitars
under the name "RetroTone Surfmaster." Needless to say, I had
to have one. (see guitars in photos under "guitars").
They are a nice take on Fender's offset guitars, but use Kent
Armstrong Lipstick pickups or P-90s. Nice surfy colors, too.
These are beautifully-made, one-off, hand-crafted guitars, have
great surfy sounds, and sell for about what you'd pay for a off-
the-shelf American Stratocaster. Only, these are way cool. He'll
also make custom guitars.
