Yo Big Tiki,
I would love to see a Swingin' Creepers Vol. 2. A Paul Johnson tribute CD
couldn't go wrong, there's plenty of great tracks there. A Fireballs tribute
would be good as well. But howsa 'bout surf tributes to non-instro bands.
There's a million tributes in the "Pickin' On" series. These are bluegrass
instrumental tributes to the Beatles, Hendrix, Zeppelin, CCR, etc...all the
classic rockers. The same could be done in a surf-style tribute series. I've
heard the Boardwalkers do a great Sabbath instro, so a surf tribute to
Sabbath would be good. Om Om Records has a surf tribute to George Harrison on
tap. Surf tributes to anyone who wrote good melodies is the way to go.
