Greetings all,
Just wanted to chime in really quick on both of these recent
threads.
I personally wasn't the least bit impressed by the Holy Grail. I
just couldn't get the wetness I wanted, and after futzing around with
the dials for a good 20 minutes decided that the small headaches that
come along with the "moodiness" (excuse the pun) of the tanks, are
worth it for the tonal difference.
These Moody straps are supposed to be among the most comfortable
guitar straps ever made... I had many people come in to my old store
asking for them or info on them, and I even had one gentleman tell me
how they were going to stitch a custom design into the strap for him
to match a pattern he was having etched into the pickguard of his
strat (a chrome p.guard as I recall). Sounded ridiculous to me, but
you have to hold that up as a pretty high standard for customer
service. However, the masochist in me kind of likes the pain that
goes along with having a good ol' heavy guitar strapped on for a few
hours. Reminds me of my days with the sousaphone in my H.S. marching
band, but that's a different web group altogether....
