North American Shadowmania in Toronto to be held September 27th has
been slighly scaled down in scale and GREATLY scaled down in price!!
Now it's even cheaper to see and hear four hours of great
instrumental music, and to meet a couple of legends. (Don't forget
that the prices are in CANADIAN dollars!) Here's the email from the

Hello Everyone:
This is just to let you know that while we won't be having Shadowmania
North America 2003 as originally planned we are pleased to offer
instead a slightly scaled-down version at a much reduced price. We
will have several celebrities on-hand for a very special version of a
Toronto Shadows Club meeting.
REFUNDS: Those of you who have already purchased tickets and who DO
NOT WISH TO ATTEND the revised event will receive full refunds. To
claim your refund please call Martin Payne Toll Free at 1-866-661-
4153 in North America or at 519-681-5834 from outside of North
America.
ADJUSTMENTS: Those of you who hold Shadowmania NA tickets and who
still want to join us will receive an adjustment for the difference
in ticket prices.
We still feel we have a great afternoon and evening's entertainment to
offer you and at a considerably lower cost.

11:30pm SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2003 ... CELEBRITY BREAKFAST - $28 PER
PERSON: We will continue to offer the same celebrity breakfast that
was announced for Shadowmania NA. This will take place in the Hotel
at approx 9:30am on Sunday.
A very intimate and very special extended Toronto Shadows Club meeting
with most of the same stars who had planned to join us for our
original program ...

DOORS OPEN AT 2:30PM
MEMBERS PERFORMANCES: Things kick off at 3:00pm with a typical Club
Meeting. As with all our Club evenings, members, non-members and
visitors are welcome to play for us. As usual, this can be to backing
tracks or you may perform as complete bands. Pre-registration is
essential if you would like to play at the event (see details below).
This members' section of the evening will go until 7:30pm. Those of
you who attended our Finegan's Wake evening with Licorice back in
2001 will know just how entertaining this can be.
GUEST ARTISTS: From 7:30pm through to approx 11:30pm we will present
the lineup of performers listed above and the highlight of the event
will be numbers performed by Bruce Welch of The Shadows, Phil Kelly,
lead guitarist of Bruce Welch's Shadows, and Licorice Locking of The
Shadows. This will also officially launch Bill Bonney's New Fentones
and will see the return of The Troubadours from Michigan who thrilled
us all at the first Shadowmania NA in 2001.

SPECIAL HOTEL ROOM RATES: The Hilton will continue to offer the
specially reduced room rates for our visitors. Just mention the
name "Shadowmania" when you book your room. (We won't confuse the
issue by having them use a diffent name for the revised show).
FOOD: Meals are no longer included in the ticket price. Throughout the
event, the hotel will offer a food service menu. Guests may purchase
meal tickets which can be used at a food service bar that the Hilton
will set up.
DRINK: There will be an open cash bar for the duration of the event.
AUTOGRAPHS AND PHOTO OPS: Throughout the afternoon and evening you
will have the opportunity to meet our guest stars, obtain autographs
and take pictures.
SPECIAL DOOR PRIZES: There will be a drawing for a very special door
prize: The winner will receive two tickets for front row centre seats
to see the re-united Shadows Final Tour of the U.K. at The Liverpool
Empire on May 8, 2004. There will also be smaller door prizes
throughout the evening.
REGISTERING TO PLAY: It is IMPERATIVE that you pre-register with ROGER
LAPWORTH if you intend to play. You will understand that we must be
able to program this special evening and so we need you to submit your
playlists to Roger in order for him to schedule the event and help
minimize duplication. Please also let him know if you need to have any
Backing Tracks cued up for your performance. You can contact Roger via

than September 13th. I'm sorry, but in the interest of fairness,
priority will definitely be given to those who have registered with
us ahead of time. Latecomers can only be accommodated if there are
spaces in the lineup and registered players will not be bumped, asked
to stand down or to cut short their performances to accommodate those
who have not registered. It's all going to depend on the numbers. We
want you there playing for us so please please please help us to have
a full and varied lineup and don't miss your opportunity! Register

forget to start practicing!
