My twin used to sound goooood with EV12L's, but it was just waaaaay
too heavy. Sort of defeated the purpose of having a small combo. I
moved the EV's over into my Bassman cabinet, and now I have a
decision to make for the Twin. Should I re-cone a pair of 90watt
Black Shadows (Mesa Boogie/Celestion), or just order a couple of
80watt Webers? Any opinions? Dave? Rick? Anyone? ~Mike
Maybe the re-issue Jensen C12N? Ask Pete Currry what he thought of the Webers. I
think they were launched shortly after touch-down.

I forgot about the weight issue. Jensen P12N will be a lighter choice. I use Vox
silver alnicos in my 2-12 amp. They have been reconed with Hempcones. I have not
heard the speaker they make, just my re-cones. The P12N weighs 4.5 lbs.

Pete hated his Webers. I'm not sure what amp he set them up in. I
love them. I've also got a Weber (C12N type) in my deluxe.
The Jenson C12N is a 50 watt speaker. Knowing Mike's usual volume
(ouch) is that going to stay clean?
