Due to ongoing structural modifications (read: half-assed soundproofing and/or
lightning rod installation) at the new The Nebulas top secret rehearsal
facility/command bunker outside of Newport, RI , we have been unable to
practice in earnest since unleashing hot fury with The Infrareds during their
invasion a few weeks ago, SO......
The Nebulas will be rehearsing LIVE on the radio for all the world to hear this
Saturday morning on Freeform Funkified Filth with Dave Estell on UCONN's Sound
Alternative, WHUS 91.7 FM between 10am-noon (actual start time to be determined,
but tune in early to hear some crazy shite). Here's the webcast information:
Rehearsing for what, you ask? Well, god damn if The Nebulas don't have a show
later on the very same day at night: After 16 months and 3 days, The Nebulas
will once again schlep their Showmans into Sully's Pub in Hartford (that's in
Connecticut) for a two-pronged surf/ska assault with The Soul Merchants (roots
reggae/rocksteady/ska the way it should be played...and was played back in the
day). Opening the show will be All Fours...whether or not they will play ON All
Fours remains to be seen,. but I'd rather not be seein' that as I believe their
membership is devoid of any freewheeling hootchies with loose morals (there's
always next time, at least that's what I keep telling myself).
