anyone knows what to make of this?
I've never seen a BF showman in a big showman reverb cab, and there is no
reverb tank?

HI Rock-Verb,
That is a Silverface Showman (non Master) from 68-70 with the aluminium
border. But with a BF panel. I have never heard or saw a BF dual Showman
reverb. But it looks exactly like a Silferface Showman reverb but an
early one. Not a bad amp, probably Blackfaced, hence the control plate.

that's about what i figured at first, but it doesn't have a reverb tank, and
it also has non reverb backplate, that's what puzzled me. it could also be a
'real' blackface, in a different cab. also it's an original USA, not an
export model.

Hi,
It looks exactly the same as a SF Showman reverb cab, but as you
mentioned the reverb bag is not in the cab and there are no inputs for
reverb as well. But the it has the same four channel+thin switch as the
BF Showman. First two channels volume treble bass second two channels
volume treble middle bass (no reverb) (tremolo) speed and intensity.
So it could very well be a BF Showman amp in a SF Showman/Bandmaster
cab. It would be extremly nice if this was the case, given the current
bid ;-)
