Here's an odd duck...I found it on EBay. Someone buy it just so I can
say I know someone who owns it. This is one of the most beautiful
Strats I've ever seen. (But why didn't they make a Jaguar for Jaguar's
anniversary?)
Oh I remember seeing that, it was a promo or something
for Jaguar (the automobile). I always wondered why
they didn't just use a Jaguar for that. Didn't I read
somewhere that the Fender Jag was named after the car
anyway?

actually the jaguar (guitar) sort of resembles a jumping jaguar (animal),
which incidetly is the logo of jaguar (the car)
maybe the strat is the car company's very obscure, far fetched tribute to
surf music with its implicit Dick Dale reference, who after all PLAYS a
strat, yet keeps a PET-jaguar. So you see, it's all connected, it all makes
perfect sense. In a next life I will play a jaguar, drive a stratmobile (yet
to be invented though) and keep a pet-dick....
gotto go and lick some more Grateful Dead record sleeves now...
