OK, Here's the deal:
I just received in my mailbox the new album by Monterey, CA's own "The
Infrareds", and let me sum it up in two words: HOLY SH!T!!!!
HANDS DOWN this is by and far my favorite surf album of 2003. No question
about it. You won't find any hawaiian shirts in this band, that's for sure!
This is trad surf played FAST and RAW. Do yourself a favor, buy this album
or be haunted by it. Whatever they're charging, its a bargain for what you
get.
Seriously, I was listening to it in my car as I was driving and I could
feel the adrenaline pooling in my knees. I've been looking forward to this
release for quite some time and IT HAS DELIVERED!!!!!!
I have no idea where it is available, but finding it will be well worth
your while. I'm guessing their website would be a good place to start.
Personally, this is one of those moments in life where, and you can all
think of at least one, where you got a CD, played it start to finish and you
were just PSYCHED because every song just KICKED ASS.
I'm going to go listen to it again...
