RE: [SurfGuitar101] Re: shootin' beavers

Shootin' Beavers is not entirely instrumental - the Tornadoes scream "Shoot
that Beaver" and "Bag that Pelt" a number of times during the tune. It's on
the Sundazed "Busting Surfboards" album.

Great! Exactly the kind of feedback I'll need to improve this piece!
(Rumble, one of only a handful of instrumentals...)
Now, I do recall "Beaver Patrol" - great title, great tune. Haven't
heard "Shootin' Beavers," but I'm sure it screams.

That's right, I failed to mention that. Even with the
vocals (scant though they were) it took them a while
to catch onto it and pull it from the air. I have the
very album you speak of, Mel. One of the first things
I bought when I found my way back to surf a couple
years ago.

Remember, this wasn't long after the folks in Hollywood named a cute
freckle face pudge-boy "Beaver Cleaver." I always thought those
writers must have laughed their asses off when they snuck that name in!
I still relish the following line, by the oddly sexy June Cleaver:
"Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the Beaver last night?"
But, as Brian says, we're getting a little bit off topic. ;-)
