Hi Ivan,
I just listened to Mambo Sinuendo, it sounds great, latin influenced
rythem section with a sometimes twangy reverb guitar, Sometimes jazzy,
mambo, but still a bit twangy and very subtile. I understand why Bob
keeps it in his CD player, it's great. Not surf, but Twangy influenced,
but very subtile.
I guess I know what I will be listening too the next few days.
Jerry S. from Belgium.

What are your impressions of this? Guitar Player had a cover story
on Ry Cooder talking about this recording, and words like 'surf'
and 'Duane Eddy' were thrown about quite a bit in the description of
it. It sounded quite intriguing.
thanks, Ivan

I heard a piece on this record on NPR a few months ago. It sounded pretty
interesting, but not surfy.

Here's an NPR link to the story on Ry Cooder and Mambo Sinuendo:
Click on the "Listen to All Things Considered audio" link. You need Real
Player to hear it.
