Well, the guitars never matched anyway - only two of them were Lake Placid Blue
and even those were from two different countries and didn't quite match to begin
with. I think the other blue guitar is a completely different finish - almost
blue/green But did you notice the Showmans matched?
As far as the uniforms - we spent all of our money on hotel rooms and van
rentals & valet parking (twice) and didn't have any left over to pay the dry
cleaning bill. Have you seen the cost of dry cleaning lately?? Out of
control.
Besides, it was originally supposed to be Dusty's All Stars featuring some
members of The Nebulas, so since it wasn't an official Nebulas gig, uniforms
were not standard issue. Matching t-shirts would have been nice, but some
people didn't read the memo and have since been disciplined accordingly.
Don't worry - all future Nebulas shows will feature the band in appropriate
attire. And if everyone orders a custom-made instrument direct from the Mosrite
factory in Japan, we could all have matching guitars, but I wouldn't anticipate
that happening for awhile.

That it is! I JUST received a set of Seymour Duncan Vintage Jag pickups
for my CIJ blue jag which I'll drop in tonight or tomorrow, but since I got
the original, the blue one just hasnt sounded the same. And as for us not
wearing matching uniforms, the one piece of info about that show: that photo
was taken at about 2:30-3:00 in the morning. That show was a LATE one, since
it had to take place AFTER Dick's show over at BB King's. Oh, and NYC had
received about 4 inches of rain in the previous 8 hours (1 of which we had
to load-in during), and we had just come from an extremely overpriced dinner
at TGIFridays AND TFJ had to use the house "rock" drum kit. Add all those
factors together, and a detail or two is guaranteed to be overlooked or
forgotten, and in this case, it was the uniforms.
