...a good, cheap 4-track recorder? I have some ideas I want to get
on tape. I'd prefer it to be under or right around $100.

if you can use your computer for recording and you have a PC, grab an older
lower-end version of Acid by Sonic Foundry (www.sonicfoundry.com)! I use
that for all my home recording stuff nowadays. You'd need to run the gtr
into the computer somehow tho; a SansAmp or a Pod or something (I use a
Pod).
