SURF'S UP ON THE BIG SCREEN:
OCEAN VIEW FILM FESTIVAL

Explore the real and mythic world of beach culture with a screening of
two classic beach films, the 2002 skate and surf documentary Dog Town &
Z-Boys and the 1965 Beach Blanket Bingo. Special guest, Stacy Peralta
(schedule permitting) will discuss directing Dog Town & Z-Boys and
examine the portrayal of beach life in movies with legendary beach movie
director William Asher. William Asher will then introduce his 1965 film
Beach Blanket Bingo and talk about his surf films that include the
legendary Beach Party, Muscle Beach Party, Bikini Beach, and How to
Stuff a Wild Bikini.
Admission for this program is free for museum members; nonmembers are
