hey
anyone ever play an ibanez talman?
they look rather surfy

I've wondered the same thing. There were several flavors of the
Talman, some had all single coils, some had humbuckers, some had
hard tail, some had trem, etc. My first "real" guitar was an Ibanez
Roadstar II and it's a nice guitar. It has a very comfortable neck
on it.
I think Noodles from the Offspring plays one...?

I have one, I used it on much of the first Pollo CD. Mine has 3 lipstick tube
pickups (natch) and
the resin body. I think they also made wood ones. Can't say it is a great
guitar. doesn't vibrate
particularily well, but it is easy to play and has a good, stays in tune
vibrato. Great styling.
Probably the wood ones are much better resonators...
