Woah, really? I just won a Premier unit on eBay that
looked to be in really nice shape with the original
switch for about $193. The last Premier tank I saw
went for over $300 and I've never seen a Fender tank
that went for less than $350; or maybe I just haven't
looked enough. Anyway, my reverb tank should be en
route soon. I think it was Cobalt that had one of
these. You got any tips, man?
Richard

Yep. That was me... Sounds like you got a good deal.
My advice would be to open the unit up, and check your tubes. The guy
who shipped mine, took them out and sent them in a padded container,
seperately.
Unlesss your guy has done the same, (which means you'd have to do this
anyway) carefully open up the unit by removing the screws holding the
bottom on and make sure your tubes are properly seated. Once you're sure
the tubes are sound, screw it back together and plug her in for a test
drive.
By cranking up the reverb ammount, you should be able to generate a nice
wet splashy tone.
Heh...and if you don't notice any difference when you twist the knob,
don't forget to hit the footswitch. I've scared myself a couple times by
forgetting I had the footswitch set to bypass.
Happy surfing!

Whoops, I remembered wrong. I paid $335 for mine, brand new in box, from a
music store via Ebay.

Ah, well that's still not too bad. I think I paid just over $250 for mine...

Nup, two.. Power, and reverb ammount. The ones on mine are red and
white. Wasn't there an image of it in the ebay ad?
