Thanks for the tip on the JJ tubes Mel. I ordered a complete set from Bob on
Friday and got them today! I couldn't resist putting them in and seeing what
happens. Wow...it has teeth now! It still not "kill you dead" loud, but I am
now hestitating on turning it past 6. And the tremolo is really, really
sweet! Encouraging signs, I think.
I have found a tech and will bring it in to him hopefully this weekend. I'm
very curious to see what he will find. I've got to get rid of that 2 prong
plug. I reached down to flip on my reverb unit with one hand with the other
hand laying across my strings and I got a little tingle....so that ended my
experimentation with the new tubes.
Also, I was playing with the back off the cabinet and it was a bit rough
sounding speaker-wise. I think I will have to get that small speaker rip
fixed shortly.
