DOUBLE CROWN 10TH ANNIVERSARY BASH IN SEPTEMBER IN BELLINGHAM!!!
We're starting to plan a big, huge 2-day festival in Bellingham to celebrate
the 10th anniversary of Double Crown Records. Yes, it's hard to believe, but
it was 10 years ago when I first came up with the idea of starting a new
record label. I contacted the Penetrators to see if they'd like to do a 7"
to kick things off. After that release we've continued releasing lots of
great surf, garage and rockabilly music - nearly 30 releases so far! The big
bash will be September 15th and 16th, and will feature 8-10 bands from
around the world, along with a bunch of special events around town. Make
your plans now and start savin' up for your plane fare - this is gonna be an
event you will not want to miss! We will announce a lineup around June and
will be selling advance tickets shortly after.

It's the debut CD by The Madeira, a new Michigan-based surf/instro combo led
by Ivan Pongracic (formerly of The Space Cossacks). If you liked his former
band (and who didn't?) you will absolutely flip over his new combo. In some
ways this is probably similar to what a 3rd 'Cossacks CD would have sounded
like, but he takes this group in directions that perhaps wouldn't have been
possible before.
