I just noticed that Guitar Fetish has released some new "Surfy" Strat pickups...
"'64 Stagger Vintage Grey-Bottom boutique Strat Set- Surfy!!"

The Guitar Fetish web site reads like a J. Peterman catalog (or maybe
an 80's DAK catalog, anyone remember those) but the pickups sound
great, are cheap and he actually has some non cookie cutter stuff too.
I've used their Liverpool Filtertron-esque humbucker pickups in a
cheap-o hollowbody and their Fatbody Tele pickups in my Franken-Tele
and they are both excellent sounding.
GFS came out with Strat and Humbucker sized Lipstick Tube pickups back
in December and I got one for my 1980's Hondo Dano Longhorn copy (it
originally had a Demarzio Humbucker in it... why would they do that?!)
That guitar finally sounds as it should (Epic era Link Wray.)
