3 Balls of Fire SXSW dates with George Tomsco, Jerry Cole, and Dusty Watson

3 Balls of Fire will be performing several dates during the upcoming
SXSW Music Week in Austin, TX. This SXSW is one of the largest
ever, with over 1.400 bands/artists showcasing their talent.
Burnin' Mike Vernon and 3 Balls of Fire will be performing many of
the dates with George Tomsco of the Fireballs, and L.A. session man
Jerry Cole (who recorded "Tequila" with the Champs, and has worked
with Roy Orbison, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, the Byrds, Merle Haggard,
and Ray Charles, among many others). Our own Dusty Watson will be
playing some of the dates with Jerry, George, and Mike as well!
3 Balls of Fire's new power line-up includes veteran bassist Mark
Andes (Spirit, Canned Heat, Heart), and veteran drummer Bruce Logan
joining ace guitarist Mike Vernon.

Official "kick-off" event of SXSW Music
3 Balls of Fire will be performing a
"Guitars a Go-Go" set together with George Tomsco,
Jerry Cole, and Earl Poole Ball (Johnny
Cash's pianist for 20 years), along with
the Boom Chica Boom girls. 7:35 pm
Also performing at this prestigious event will
be Roky Erickson & the Explosives, Kris
Kristofferson w/ Jessi Colter, and Austinites
Jon Dee Graham w/ Ellen Gilkyson. It will be
a stellar night -- if you're in the area,
don't miss it!

first overseas tour to the UK/Netherlands April 24th through May 7th.

Thanks for the Info Susan, I'd like to go, but don't think I can
swing it. I almost won tix to go from Alt. radio station here in
LA. Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols always plays a song on his
acoustic, and whistles the melody. If you can guess the song you
win whatever they are giving away. The song was Apache( new it
from the first chord). But I got in right after the person before
me got it.
The Mermen are supposed to be at SXSW also if I can coax the info
outta their yahoo group, I'll post it here.
