home brew effects

zanik1234 - 01 Mar 2006 00:13:42

gdday, a new member from oz interested in what home brew
guitar effects /pedals have been raised by the group that help the
surf sound. top site and discussion which is so great to turn on
to after a crap day at work. inspires me to bend the strings more often,
i think home brew effects and adapting trad instruments/amps are
part of the surf sound, just no magic going to the muso shop and buying off
the shelf stuff its way too easy. look forward to any feedback Bing

===>Hello!
I don't even have an amplifier--mine goes directly into my computer.
To get the "surf" sound, I use a DigiTech Digiverb reverb pedal (set
to "spring" setting). I also use a software called Amplitube, which
emulates vintage guitar amplifiers.
