J.J. Cale / surf question

mono_tones_1 - 01 Mar 2006 04:50:56: Yesterday I saw the JJ Cale documentary on TV here, I think it's
called 'back to Tusla' or something. always loved his music btw.
anyway, is there a connection between JJ Cale and surf? I know he was
in LA in the 60's, but that doesn't mean much. Im asking because in the
documentary he wore a baseball cap with a 'surfers cross' patch on it.
