I am always amazed at the sensible stuff I learn here. My new Jag
really lacked sustain, so I changed the bridge saddles to Graphtechs
(as suggested by Boulder Bob, I think), and set the PUPs lower, using
a No. 2 pencil as a guide, as suggested by Dano. And I added a set of
flat-wounds, as suggested by everybody.
I then followed Angel Romero's guide to doing the setup (a reference I
found through this site), and bingo! perfect intonation, no fret buzz,
nice low action.
In other words, now perfect.
