Since you are in a crowd that might know this, I thought I'd ask.
Back in the 1980s, there was a band called "The Evasions" from the
San
Diego area. They had one song on a History of Surf Music Vol 3 vinyl
album called "Son of Surf". I have always thought it was a cool
tune,
since it sort of combines surf with a touch of Rockabilly. They also
recorded a song called "The Evasion", which is another cool surfy/spy
sounding tune as I recall. I believe that the Evasions may have put
out an album or least an EP, but I can't seem to find out for sure.
The Evasions are a bit like a 1980s version of the Sir Finks.
Since the Evasions were from the San Diego area, I asked Paul Johnson
a while back if he knew anything about them. He said he thought they
may have put out a record. Paul also said that he sold the guitarist
the white Jaguar he used on the recordings! Sadly, Paul had not
really heard or seen from them since he sold that guy the guitar.
The Evasions released one album which happened to be a very cool picture
disk (remember those?). The LP came in a clear, vinyl sleeve. It was a
great record, all originals if I recall, good playing, lots of hooks, and
very trad sounding with wet reverb.
One track on the Evasions' album, "Road Agent," was covered by
Jon/Nightriders on their "Stampede" album.

Thanks John,
The question Came from Brian Clark of the Breakers, who used to
work with you ,he told me. Now him and his wife Julie are in Austin
and playing a little bit, with some other Austin guys sittin' in
with them.
