OuterWave - MP3's loaded up in our website

Tony (beatmantony) - 14 Feb 2006 19:25:13

Greetings fellow surf music lovers. Got a hold of a CD that recorded
our performance last September at the British & Dominion Social Club.
I have loaded the site with seven songs. Please understand that these
are all raw recordings with no mixdowns. The two guitar amps used are
all vintage showman's with reverb tanks. No digital effects. One
guitar also goes through a Fulltone analog echo. For that rich, sweet
sound check out The Big Push and Jack The Ripper. While you are there
you might as well check out all of them. Thanks Steve of ChromiumOxide
for the CD.
yes, we are a surf band and proud of it

Nice job on Bullwinkle also. When you guys played that at the Pier,
everyone really enjoyed that.

Hey HB,
I have to agree. Outterwave does an excellent job on Bullwinkle pt2.
I've always wanted to do that song if I get in a band, guess I'll
have to dig alittle deeper. I was a little skeptical at first, since
they didn't have a sax player, and the sax really adds alot of the
vibe to the original. But Mac does an excellent job of translating
the vibe to guitar. Kinda like when Wronkski does Miserlou. He
plays the Trumpet part so fast and so smooth, it almost sounds like a
blaring trumpet if you close your eyes.

Hi, we actually play Bullwinkle-2 slower than the original to make
it more dramatic and changed the tempo a little to make it more
jangly. We like the song a lot too that is why it was the first song
on our set list during that gig at the British & Dominion Social
Club. Next time you see me say Hi and I will give you a CD of our
live recording.
