A friend that goes to surf shows occasionally asked
me about these songs:
any help would be appreciated.

From "Annette's Beach Party":
O1 "Beach Party"
03 "Don't Stop Now" This song is rad! Totally nasty for Annette
(or anyone)
09 "Swingin' and Surfin'
"Annette Muscle Beach Party":
03 "Surfer's Holiday"
"Don't Stop Now" is on Dick Dale's "Live at Ciro's" LP. It was also
recorded by Frankie Avalon (the b-side of "Beach Party" on Chancellor).
"Swingin' & Surfin'" was recorded by Annette on the "Annette's Beach Party"
LP and by Les Brown, Jr. on GNP Crescendo. Dick Dale also recorded it for
the "Beach Party" soundtrack, but it's remained unreleased.....so far.
There's supposed to be a CD coming very soon that will comp, for the first
time, Beach Party movie soundtrack recordings, many of which have never
been issued. Dick's "Swingin' & Surfin'" (which he did on his Ed Sullivan
Show appearance in '64!!) should be on that CD.
I don 't believe any of these tracks (with the exception of the Les Brown,
Jr. track and maybe Dale's "Don't Stop Now") have been issued on CD yet.
Soon, though.

Hey John,
thanks for the Info. I'll forward it to him.
He told me that he recorded them off Jim Dunfreds "Surfwave"
show back in the ealry 90's probably, to casette, and has
transfered them to his laptop. But wants better sounding versions.
I knew you'd have the info on that stuff.
I asked him why he wanted it.
But hey I'm listing to Bachelor Pad Music right now so go figure
right???
