I ran across these MP3's, but cannot find the cd anywhere. I like this
collection alot, its titled "everybodys goin surfin". And the mp3's sound like
somone recorded off vynil off a turnable that kept adjusting its own speed.
Anyone know anything about this record ? allmusic claims 1963, but theres
bands on it newer than that. im owndering if its mislabeled.

There was an album initially released with this title. It was either Mike
from the Phantom Surfers, or Johnny (ex-Phantom Surfers) who had something
to do with the release. I think they used the original vinyl sources to
compile it.
It was released during the 1980's. Sometimes it shows up in auctions. You
might also contact Norton Records to see if they know where to get a copy.

It's a vinyl only comp released in the late 80s or early 90s on
Repent Records. Full title "Everybody's Goin' Surfin'/Nobody's Goin'
Surfin'!". All tracks are 60s recordings except the Phantom Surfers
one. It's a great comp and I highly recommend it to anyone who finds
it.
