"Waves of Reverb, Sea of Fuzz, Vol. 1" featuring LOS KAHUNAS and THE INVISIBLE
SURFERS is out now!!!
This release is the first volume in a series that will make its mark around the
world by bringing to light the finest in instrumental music to be found in
remote parts of the planet. We are kicking off this trip with LOS KAHUNAS from
Argentina, a traditional instro surf combo that uses originals to recreate,
impeccably, the golden era of Surf music, accompanied by Reverb, occasional
Fuzz, Fender gear, and polished drum rolls.
The other half of this release comes straight from the beaches of Athens, Greece
by the name of THE INVISIBLE SURFERS. Their music is a bit more aggressive, and
their Surf sound more modern, with tons of Fuzz. One can even hear the Hellenic
influence in some of the tracks composed by these old school rockers, who come
to us out of the ashes of legendary bands from their native land.
Dr. Alderete, a top-quality, internationally renowned artist, was in charge of
the cover art. Dr. Alderete knows the meaning of Surf music inside out, having
been responsible for dozens of record covers of this genre, in addition to
designs related to all-things-Surf, comics, Mexican Lucha Libre, Tiki art, and
more.
