give ya a bit of info from My O.C. Point of view.
Allthough SD is not the Hotbed of surf that L.A./O.C. is, there are a
few bands down there.

The Surf Kings(Oceanside)
The Lost Boys of Pensance(new band-Encinitas area)
Secret Samurai(ex-surf report memebers with sax guy from Buck09)(SD)
DeadBolt(SD)(not really Surf-more like Voodoobilly)
The Eliminators(Not SD county but San Clemente)
And Clint Beachwood does a surf radio show on Thurs. afternoons from 4
to 6 pm, out of SDSU campus, can be listend to at WWW.KCRLIVE.com
or on time warner ch. 957 or cox cable ch. 956
Ckint, and KCR will be having a fund raiser show on Fri. Feb17th
at the Whistle stop bar in The North Park area, with CHUM,Glasgow Tiki
Shakers, and Slacktone. ( A truely must see show for someone wanting
to get to know the Surf scene)

Thanks Jeff.
I am going to try and make it to the Whistle Stop show.
The old guitarist of my band actually hangs out with the Deoras.
He lives in Encinitas, as well. Deadbolt is one of my all time
favorite acts and a big inspiration for my band.
Definitely going to check out the KCR show.
I will be going to the Coachhouse for the Dick Dale show for New
Years Eve.
Maybe run into you there?
Thanks,
Greg
