It's not a human baby, but it'll probably get the same amount of love
and care! (That's pretty sad, actually.) Check it out here:
I'm currently getting my tone-ring single JBL cab refinished in blonde
tolex and wheat grille cloth - with any luck, the whole rig will be
unveiled at our CD release show on the 27th! Yeah!!!
Ivan
Very cool congrats,
be sure to feed it plenty of Volume, and lots of Liguids in the form
of Fender Reverb drip, and I'm sure it will grow up to be a fine
addition to the Family. would love to see a complete shot of the
family, Guitar,tank,cab, and father.

Nah, it was Wayne's...I forgot his last name (if I
ever knew it) but he's got a few pieces of gear that
he's been selling recently. He advertised some of
them here. I wonder where he is.

His name is Wayne Pettersen, and he used to play in a New Jersey surf
band Catch a Wave - they did mostly corporate parties, and things like
that (you know, the only way you can play surf and make any money!).
He's putting together another surf band now (also mostly for corporate
parties), but he didn't mention anything about SG101. I just emailed
him and asked him about it, though. Thanks for the tip! (How do you
know him, Richard?)

Good point. I just emailed him about it.
I recognized his name/user id from his postings here
on SG101 and I also emailed him about the Fiesta Red
CIJ Jaguar he's selling, which is still up on eBay.
Unfortunately I'm unable to acquire it at present, but
I've got a job now...it's like a license to buy new
guitars, am I right?

No mystery here....my name's the same on here as it is on Ebay. I'm
glad that someone from the list is gonna own the amp and appreciate
it for what it is....and is a great person to do business
with.....thanks Ivan
If anyone cares, the new band (tentitively called Catch A Wave)
that's being put together is a 5 piece instrumental (and a few
vocals) band for bar gigs, and that we're going to combine with a
barbershop quartet that can do Beach Boys and Jan and Dean vocals
the right way , for bigger gigs. Buy the way, we're still looking
for a permanent bass player and rehearse in Milford NJ (on the
Delaware River)once a week.

Wow!!! Congratulations, Ivan!!! If it sounds half as good
as it looks, you'll be in tonal nirvana. Nice Score!!!

Congrats! That really turns around the New Year's phrase "out with the old
. . . " to "in with the old . . . " What a great way to end the year -
enjoy!

THAT'S why it seemed familiar on eBay! I just didn't put it
together. But of course, I remember Wayne's ID and postings now.

Thank YOU, Wayne! Our surf music circles seem to be getting smaller
and smaller!

Best of luck with all this, and we hope you make a big (reverb)
splash!
Ivan
Hey Ivan,
Wow that looks stunning! Almost the same of what I made (although I
cheated, since I took a 66 chassis and put in a homemade blonde cab)
Great score! I really like those Showmans....They deliver a great sound
especialy with a 15" cab (single or dual) but hey, who am I convincing
;-)
My best whishes for 2006 to everyone here at surfguitar 101!
