Lullaby of the Leaves chords?

Jeff Leites (jeff_leites) - 23 Dec 2005 13:30:23

Does anyone know the chords to the Ventures version of Lullaby of the
Leaves? I think I want to record it for my web page. I've got the lead
figured out, but it would save me some time if someone already knows
the chords.

I bet Eddie's opening this and laughing his arse off
as you read this.
It's mostly pretty easy. The intro is, surprise!, A,
G, F, E. I play these as muted 1-5 two-note chords.
Goes to E then Am. The following "up/down" part is F
to G#/Aflat (twice) to C major, then the "up/down"
part again (F to G#/Aflat) to C, Em, Dm, G (like the
intro to Perfidia), then goes straight back to the old
A, G, F, E. Ends on E to Am.
I'm all about the chords these days. I think I've
forgotten how to play lead on some of the songs I
know.

Thanks Richard,
I guess I already knew most of it, but getting past the intro, that E
just doesn't sound right to me (as a chord played over the notes A A
B B C C D D Eb Eb E). It sounds like there's something else in
there before the E and after the E before the Am.
