Hey Ivan,
I just got my best of cd in the mail, and I never noticed till now
that Mark wasn't playing a Fender. What kind of guitar is that with
3 pick ups on it and weird head design?

That was a Schecter Hellcat. Mark played an MIJ Jaguar about 75% of
the time, but he did played this Hellcat here and there. It was
Schecter's attempt at a more vintage design. It sounded OK, but I was
always pushing more for the all-Fender look...

I hear ya about the all-Fender look <wink>, but I gotta admit that I
always liked the appearance of Mark's Schecter Hellcat because it
reminded me fondly of my own first guitar, a Teisco Del Rey that had
the same four-and-two headstock design (and about a dozen switches and
knobs). Sure wish I'd =kept= that crazy thang. <sigh>

I know it's not trad. Fender look, but I kinda dig how the
pickgaurd went up onto the upper horn of the body also.
As for the rapper dude in SD, sorry I brouht it up. You had mentioned
before that you thought it was funny, even though most of the surf
crowd hated it.
