I use old records. I sample solo drum breaks and copy
the best bar or two over and over into the drum track.
Sometimes I add extra snare hits on another track,
cutting a single beat out of the original loop sample.
I dont have any sampling CDs containing drums, except
one that was in the last issue of UK magazine Future
Music. I havent used the sounds yet, but the vintage
sample seem to be cool and versatile!
