dig this ....
a brit guitar mag ("guitar&bass"" ) which I just have been reading
has a section called 'open mic' in which readerstell stories about
their guitars. this months issue has an ohio-ended-up-in-london-
former-rocker now-into-surf-girl, 'ella guru' who talks about her
(gorgeous) light blue hagstrom.
but nevermind that, she also talks about how she got into surf. the
article then reads (her words)
"My friend Jeff from Ohio introduced me to Dick Dale and got him to
sin the sheet music for Rumble with a personal message: 'Dear Ella,
keep on playing.' ( Yes, I know Rumble is by Link Wray, but Dick was
very good-humoured about it.)"
pretty cool, huh?

LOL!
btw, the girl in question resides here:
the band's got two mp3's on there, but really, if you're on dial up
just don't bother. she makes pretty cool paintings though.
