Hi all, the intonation screw on my low E is angled up so much that
it's almost brushing up against the string, creating a buzz. This is
a stock AVRI Jaguar.
Any ideas?

I have all those screws at an angle, it keeps them from loosening. To solve your
problem, I'd
put washers on the tailside of the screws.

Try lowering all the individual saddles, then bring up the two main adjustment
screws and once 6 and 1 are about right, then adjust the inside 4 strings.
the trick is to set the whole thing up so that none of the individual set
screws protrude above the saddles....takes some work....then lock em in with
low grade locktite or clear fingernail polish.......ed

This is a common problem with the Jag/Jazz bridge. After intonating, grind down
the screws that are giving you a problem with a Dremel. Another problem the US
reissues can have is the intonation screw heads sticking up to far above the
back of the btidge. This problem is usually the "B" string screw. This problem
has now been addressed, and guitars of the last couple months are OK. If you
look and see that your bridge has uneven holes in the bridge that allow the
screw heads to be above the bridge and hit the string, maybe make a warranty
claim. wrote: Hi all, the intonation screw on my low E is

This isn't the best solution, but you can simply turn the bridge
around so the screw heads face forwards...you'll have to re-intonate,
of course. I have to admit that I did this when I went to the Mustang
saddles.
