That's great news! Do you know where one would be able to buy it on
the internet?

Where can one buy this series?? LP or CD?

Apparently this band was from the city where I live currently (Cedar
Rapids, Iowa). Been dying to hear this. I see you can buy 45's of this
at Norton Records. I'd like to get the collection though.

At least the first 2 volumes were vinyl only and have been out of print
for a long time (Vol. 1 was originally released in 1985!). Maybe they
make new editions of the old volumes when releasing vol. 4.

Volumes 1 and 2 were vinyl, volume 3 CD. I know of no plans for
reissuing the whole set.

Brian, I just listened to "Surfin' On Cedar Lake" and noticed it's a
vocal song ;-D

Yeah, I had heard it was a vocal track in the style of the Beach Boys
with strange/funny lyrics.

If my memory serves me correctly:
"I got 97 horses under the hood.
I got a 3-speed on the column that's mighty good.
I got a single-barrel carb
From my girlfriend Barb."
We covered this in the Zombie Surfers.
Comparing it to the Beach Boys woul be a bit generous.
It's a trashy, garagey surf vocal tune.
To me that's a good thing.

-That would be killer if they could re-press the older comps.
Phil, is there anyway you could recomend this to them??

Yes, I already have - it's but a fond wish at the moment. I'd like to
see a 2 CD set with all 4 volumes - a box, but it's not in the cards at
this point.

The last time I got a hard copy catalog from Norton Records they had a
lot of rare surf vinyl, including at least some in this series.
They don't seem to have their massive catalog online yet.
