wrote me a brief email re: TWANG SHEBANG "going FM" in response to
some of the things posted here....thought I'd pass it along

Hello all, yes this is the little radio station that could (as it
were) They are a non profit, tiny, little, small powered, little
baby FM station that transmits to a great deal of the bay area. They
have just taken over about 9 months ago and have several bugs to
work out. As I understand it they do take and encourage donations to
help them get this station rolling out with a new antenna on some
big hill there and then they will cover way more ground.
Another part of what these fine folks do is start up stations like
this one, make it popular, and then run them. I know that they have
a ton of other projects like buying another station in Nevada no
idea where or what the details are on that yet.
They also keep strong alies in the radio world and plan to syndicate
certain shows to other and bigger markets. Twang Shebang is number 1
on the short list of shows to be syndicated so lets all keep our
fingers crosssed, but more importantly make sure you spread the word
because thats what will make this show a success on terrestrial
radio stations like More Public Radio.....Listeners lots of them. I
am so greatful for this tremendous oportunity that Gene and Prentiss
gave to us, what a gift that is. A chance of a lifetime to be sure.
