Howdy,
Pollo Del Mar is off to Japan this week. We leave
Monday morning, and have 6 shows lined up. Four of the
shows will be with the Surf Coasters and for two of
the shows we will be backing up Nokie Edwards. After
so much preparation, it is hard to believe it is
really happening...
We will be keeping a blog at:
There is more info about the tour at:
Hopefully we will be able to post daily reports to the
blog.
Keep in touch,
Ferenc

The Surf Coasters, AND you are backing Nokie Edwards. Holy Moly! Knock

BN
Now that sounds like a whole lotta fun, Ferenc. Do forward us the details. I'll

Thanks for the link - Very cool indeed!!
Chris
Hi Guys,
We are having a crazy time here. I wish we could stay
another week, but at this point, we only have 2 more
shows. I have been trying to keep the blog updated,
but it has been really hard with so much van time. I
just put up some pictures from last night's show with
Nokie. More to come- thanks for followiong along!

I just took the time to read fully through all the Pollo Del Mar
Japan-tour logs, and I gotta say, wow, what a trip! There's a lot
on there (man, Jono really seems to like to write - well, good thing
he's good at it!), but well-worth reading. The tour seems like it
was a big success, even if not without hiccups - but then, it
wouldn't be a r&r tour if everything went smoothly, right??!!
Anyway, check it out here:
Congratulations to PDM on a successful tour as well as acting as
worthy ambassadors of US surf music!

Thanks for checking out the blog... It was an amazing
trip, and aside from a little confusion at one show,
overall everything went smoothly. If anybody has any
questions, I'll be happy to answer them. If you had
checked out the blog and couldn't see the photos, I
have moved them off of Geocities and onto the Pollo
server so everything is working now (and I just put up
the final set.)
thanks,
Ferenc

Ferenc,
Welcome home, and congratulations on the tour of Japan! Sounds
like an incredible experience. First Europe, now Japan: You
guys are the worldwide ambassadors of surf! The blog was
fascinating. Sounded extremely hectic, but a lot of fun. Looking
forward to the next "Surf Sunday" @ the Hotel Utah in December...
