Hello Compadres,
TLM staff writer Charles "Chas" Pike was kind enough
to cover September's Clovis Fest for the November
issue of TLM because of my August 31 unexpected heart
attack and I asked him to have fun with it. Well he
did. In fact, he had a lot of fun with it!:
Lance Monthly Vol. 7, No. 8, November 2005 Issue
IN THIS ISSUE: The Clovis Report (The September 2005
Clovis Festival – Scene One); Clovis Fest Comments
(Comments e-mailed to Chas); The Big Bopper, Jr. Tapes
(The apocryphal lost interview with the illusive
counter culture icon Big Bopper, Jr., as recalled from
the recesses of a rapidly deteriorating mind);
Paterson’s “Jump, Jive, and Harmonize” (Reviews of
releases by Magic Christian, Shag, The Preachers, and
Boyce and Hart; Ron Petty Recalls the Livin’ End (A
major player during the ‘60s in Ohio): MuzikMan’s
Lance Monthly Album of the Month (“Who Do We Think We
Are?” Deep Purple)
As always, go to to view
the issue. When you do, you're going to see a new
layout for the Lance Records website that son, Jason
designed.
And me? I'm doing fine. Hadn't smoked since August 31
and feeling pretty good. It's good to be back.
