Fender's new Cyclone looks like an appealing surf guitar. It is set up
with Fender reissue Jaguar pickups, with three simple pickup toggle
switches and what looks to be one volume and one tone knob. It has a
24" scale neck. Has anyone tried one of these? I would be interested
to know how well it compares to the reissue Jaguar.

I've been wondering about the Cyclone II myself. Some
guy is selling a daphne blue one on eBay right now.
I'm primarily a bass player and my only guitar is a
Jagmaster, which is really nice but sometimes not as
twangy as I'd like. Even though it would be quite a
bit of money, I'd really like to get my hands on one
of these things. It's actually a 24 3/4" scale neck,
probably the same one they put on their Toronado.
I've been told that it has a pretty nice "Jaguar/Srat"
tone, though I'm not quite sure how to interpret that.
It definitely looks surf to me though.
