To TFJ while your here was.. Re: Volcanos featured in 'Breasts"

Jeff (bigtikidude) - 25 Oct 2005 20:16:42

-TFJ,
Hey man, Just wondering, after seeing it on the Continental Mag/cd
What does "Nematode" mean or refference to??
Is there any connection or simmilarity to Ted James' band the
Nematodes?

A Nematode is a small worm-like creature that burrows under the skin and
lays eggs and shit (probably both) - not too pleasant, but I saw it on a
documentary & wrote the word down as a possible song title (not unlike
"Dirty Sanchez," which was taken from another source). Anyhoo, it sounds
better than "new song # 6" when trying to name surf songs for a CD and/or
setlist
No relation to The Nematoads (note the spelling difference) as far as I
know.

Man....finally a question that someone in the Midwest USA can answer.
Yes, Nematodes are real, and if you live in Iowa, you constantly hear
on TV advertisements aimed at farmers for the latest pesticides which
can kill these things real dead. I smiled a lot when I first saw that
title years ago.
Jim, good to see you here again on the list. Can you tell us anything
about the Nebulas recording rumors (re: your website)?
And congrats to the Volcanos! ;-)

ah, a man of few words
you have the right to remain silent
but we did discuss this in the interview we did, didn't we?
that should most likely run LIVE on KECG FM this weekend (Sun 4-6
Pacific time, simulcast at My Real Broadcast, and up on the site
thereafter) .... so if you are curious enough.....
the NEBULAS are kick-ass awesome
pix of them from CHICAGO "EXOTICA" are still up here:
page 2 of READY UNSTEADY GO
but after today (this evening in fact) I hope to replace them with
PHIL DIRT TRIBUTE pix - and another set on www.reverbsuperb.com -
watch for an announcement....

So Eric, can you tell us anything about the Nebulas recording rumors?
Jim is only the lowly drummer. You are in the center you are the front
man of the band.

A Nebulas movie in the vein of the Beatles' A Hard Day's Night or Help!
