saw the purveyors of Kick-Ass Siberian Surf Rock last night at a great venue,
THE MYSTIC, in PETALUMA
the RED ELVISES were just great, I gotta tell ya
cannot believe the following they have (that's b/c I have almost always seen
them in NYC where they are not that popular)
but New Years Eve 2003 at RUSTY'S SURF RANCH in SANTA MONICA was a blast!
lots of fans on hand, singing along to every word
and IGOR's surf-rockin' licks were ever-present.....
ADAM's drumming is killer...surf beat quite evident -- he's gotta be 6'8" which
looks pretty intense behind the skins
next weekend I am taking a journey to Oregon, where I will catch-up with these
lunatics in Salem (Thurs) and Portland (Fri)
also there's a big surf music event in PORTLAND on Sat 10/29 - more on that
later in the week; but needless to say the APEHANGERS and the VERBTONES are
throwing this big event, and guess who is special guest MC? yeah, me, can U
believe that?
