Phil,
Thanks man, I apprecaite it.
I'm just a Fan, who once in awhile gets up and makes a mess of
a few songs with bands that are cool enough to let me do so.
Namely the Insect Surfers, my favorite band, and 2 of my best buddies
in the band Dave and Adrien.
It was an amazing night, a fitting tribute to an amzing person.
I just appologize for not listening to your show more.
BUt like I've said before, I'm usually out on Sat nights seeing
live shows. But your support and presence of the surf genre has been
felt by me and others down here in So. Cal. who might not hear or see
you all the time.
It was great to see you again, thanks for letting me crash the
Pit appearances the few times I was up in Nor. Cal. and
Aagin, for hooking me up with the First "Summer Surf" cd you did with
KFJC, with Woodies, Insects and Mermen on it. When it was basically
sold out long before.
foot note to that story. I had e-mailed Phil( off line)
asking about finding one of those cd's. He told me, that even though
I had just gotten on Cowabunga in 2000 or so, that he had heard
stories of me goin' to most of the surf shows in So. Cal. and that I
was a Hard core new surf fan. He said, I'll make an acception
and break out a cd of my stash to sell to you, Because you are so
into it. I will foreverly be thankful of that gesture.
The Surf Crowd truely is like a giant extended family.
